Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive EHS policies and programs to ensure full compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local state regulations.
  • Conduct regular site audits, hazard assessments, and risk mitigation strategies to ensure a zero-harm workplace.
  • Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses, implementing corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Design and deliver high-impact safety training programs for all personnel across the facility.
  • Oversee environmental sustainability initiatives, including waste reduction, energy efficiency, and emissions monitoring.
  • Prepare and submit all necessary regulatory environmental reports (Air, Water, Waste) to governmental agencies.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external regulatory inspectors and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive EHS experience in a high-hazard industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Professional certification such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager) is highly preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental and safety laws.
  • Proven track record of building safety cultures and successfully managing cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision-making for process improvements.
  • Excellent communication and leadership capabilities to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
