Responsibilities
- Lead EHS Strategy: Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive EHS policies, procedures, and programs that align with international standards (ISO 45001, ISO 14001) and local regulations.
- Risk Management: Conduct rigorous risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and implement mitigation strategies before incidents occur.
- Incident Investigation: Lead the investigation of accidents, near-misses, and environmental incidents to determine root causes and prevent recurrence.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of evolving local and international environmental laws (e.g., NEA regulations) and ensure the organization maintains full compliance.
- Training & Development: Design and deliver engaging safety training programs and workshops for all levels of staff to foster a 'Safety First' culture.
- Sustainability Reporting: Oversee environmental impact reporting, waste management strategies, and energy efficiency initiatives to reduce the company's carbon footprint.
- Emergency Preparedness: Coordinate emergency response plans and conduct regular drills to ensure readiness for any crisis situation.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. NEBOSH or IOSH certification is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-8 years of progressive experience in EHS management, preferably within a multinational corporation or manufacturing sector.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of Singapore’s Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act and Environmental Protection and Management Act (EPMA).
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, influence organizational behavior, and drive safety culture change.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex safety data to executive stakeholders.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in EHS management software and data analysis tools.
- Language: Proficiency in English is mandatory.
