Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive EHS programs to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and state-level regulations.
- Lead root-cause analysis for workplace incidents and implement effective corrective action plans.
- Conduct regular site safety audits and risk assessments to identify hazards before they escalate.
- Oversee hazardous waste management and environmental reporting procedures.
- Deliver engaging safety training programs to staff at all organizational levels.
- Manage relationships with external regulatory agencies and internal department heads.
- Champion sustainability initiatives to reduce our carbon footprint and resource consumption.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related engineering field.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in EHS within an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Professional certification required (e.g., CSP, CHMM, or CIH).
- Deep knowledge of federal and state environmental laws and safety standards.
- Proven ability to lead safety committees and influence cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional analytical skills with proficiency in EHS management software.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex safety data to stakeholders.
