Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive EHS programs across multiple facilities.
- Conduct rigorous site audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement preventative measures.
- Ensure 100% compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local environmental reporting requirements.
- Manage incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action plans to minimize operational downtime.
- Facilitate advanced safety training programs to foster a proactive, safety-first culture among staff.
- Oversee hazardous waste management, spill prevention, and air/water quality monitoring programs.
- Partner with site leadership to drive continuous improvement in safety metrics and environmental stewardship.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of professional EHS experience, preferably within a heavy industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Professional certification such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) is highly preferred.
- Deep working knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders and manage cross-functional safety committees.
- Expertise in federal, state, and local environmental permit applications and regulatory reporting.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven EHS software and incident tracking systems.
