Responsibilities
- Lead the full-lifecycle design and implementation of large-scale power distribution systems and industrial control circuits.
- Conduct advanced power system studies including load flow, short circuit, and arc flash analysis using industry-standard software.
- Mentor junior engineering staff and provide technical oversight for multi-million dollar infrastructure projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional project teams to integrate smart-grid technologies and renewable energy sources.
- Perform comprehensive on-site inspections and diagnostic testing to ensure system reliability and peak performance.
- Ensure all engineering designs adhere strictly to IEEE, NEC, and local regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in electrical system design or power systems engineering.
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of Texas or the ability to obtain it via reciprocity.
- Expert-level proficiency in ETAP, SKM, or EasyPower for complex system analysis.
- Advanced experience with SCADA systems, PLC programming, and modern industrial automation protocols.
- Proven track record of managing complex technical projects from initial concept through commissioning.
