Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and oversee the installation of complex electrical power systems and infrastructure.
- Perform detailed load calculations, short-circuit studies, and arc-flash hazard analysis to ensure system safety and compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers and project managers, to integrate electrical components into smart grid networks.
- Ensure all designs adhere to national and local electrical codes (NEC), safety standards, and environmental regulations.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct site inspections and troubleshoot operational issues to optimize system performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in electrical system design, preferably within the renewable energy or smart grid sector.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design software such as ETAP, AutoCAD Electrical, or Revit.
- Strong knowledge of power distribution, circuit protection, and renewable energy systems (Solar, Wind).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
