Responsibilities
- Design & Development: Lead the end-to-end design of complex analog and digital circuitry, power systems, and embedded systems.
- PCB Layout: Develop and review detailed schematics and PCB layouts using industry-standard tools like Altium Designer or Cadence OrCAD.
- Prototyping & Testing: Oversee the fabrication and assembly of prototypes, conduct rigorous testing, and validate performance against specifications.
- Documentation: Create comprehensive technical documentation, including design for manufacturing (DFM) reports, BOMs, and test procedures.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior engineers, provide technical guidance, and foster a culture of innovation and problem-solving within the engineering team.
- Compliance: Ensure all designs meet relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental compliance requirements.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of professional experience in hardware design, preferably in the consumer electronics or IoT sector.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in schematic capture, PCB layout design, and simulation tools.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of microcontrollers, FPGAs, power management, and signal integrity.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, ability to work cross-functionally with firmware and mechanical teams, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Tools: Experience with version control systems (Git) and Jira.
