Responsibilities
- Lead the design, simulation, and validation of power electronics circuits and systems for high-performance applications.
- Develop detailed schematics, PCB layouts, and bill of materials (BOM) in adherence to design specifications and industry best practices.
- Conduct comprehensive thermal, EMI/EMC, and signal integrity analyses to ensure product reliability and compliance.
- Prototype, test, and debug hardware, including power supplies, converters, and control systems.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with mechanical, software, and firmware teams to ensure seamless product integration.
- Define and implement rigorous test plans and validation procedures for power system components.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends in power electronics and electrical engineering.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred) from an accredited institution.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in power electronics design, development, and testing.
- Proven expertise in analog and digital circuit design, specifically for power conversion (AC/DC, DC/DC).
- Proficiency with PCB design tools such as Altium Designer, OrCAD, or Eagle.
- Strong command of simulation tools like SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, and Ansys for circuit and system-level analysis.
- In-depth understanding of EMI/EMC principles, regulatory compliance (UL, CE, FCC), and safety standards.
- Experience with high-voltage design, magnetics, and component selection for high-power applications.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities, strong analytical skills, and excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
