Responsibilities
- Design and simulate complex electrical power systems, including grid-tied and off-grid renewable energy applications.
- Lead the end-to-end development cycle, from conceptual modeling to final design verification and testing.
- Conduct detailed power flow analysis, short-circuit studies, and protection coordination using ETAP or SKM.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate battery storage solutions and smart grid technologies.
- Oversee electrical drafting and schematic preparation, ensuring strict compliance with NEC, IEEE, and local building codes.
- Mentor junior engineering staff and conduct rigorous peer reviews of technical documentation.
- Liaise with external stakeholders, project managers, and contractors to ensure project milestones are met within budget.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 6+ years of experience in power systems design or industrial electrical engineering.
- Deep proficiency with AutoCAD, ETAP, SKM, or MATLAB/Simulink.
- Comprehensive knowledge of low and medium-voltage distribution systems.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex system failures and implement long-term engineering solutions.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
