Responsibilities
- Design and validate complex power distribution systems for high-density industrial and commercial environments.
- Perform comprehensive short circuit, coordination, and arc flash studies using ETAP or SKM software.
- Lead technical reviews for electrical designs to ensure compliance with NEC and local building codes.
- Mentor junior engineers and act as the subject matter expert for multidisciplinary hardware integration.
- Oversee the lifecycle of electrical project components from conceptual design to site commissioning.
- Collaborate with procurement and project management teams to optimize BOM costs and lead times.
- Develop innovative energy storage and renewable integration strategies to improve grid resilience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Current Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of California is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 6+ years of professional experience in power systems design or industrial electrical engineering.
- Expert proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, Revit MEP, or similar design software.
- Deep understanding of NEC, NFPA 70E, and IEEE standards.
- Proven track record of leading complex electrical infrastructure projects from inception to completion.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot under tight project deadlines.
