Responsibilities
- Design and validate complex electrical power systems, including grid-tied renewable energy assets.
- Perform comprehensive load flow, short-circuit, and arc flash studies using ETAP or SKM software.
- Lead technical reviews and ensure all designs comply with NEC, NESC, and IEEE industry standards.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to integrate battery storage solutions into existing power infrastructure.
- Oversee electrical equipment specifications, procurement, and on-site commissioning efforts.
- Mentor junior engineering staff to ensure technical excellence and professional growth within the department.
- Manage project documentation, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols and budget requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in power systems engineering, specifically in utility or large-scale industrial projects.
- PE (Professional Engineer) license is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar electrical design software.
- Advanced knowledge of power distribution, relay protection, and electrical grounding schemes.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with a track record of driving technical initiatives.
