Responsibilities
- Design and validate high-voltage power distribution systems and control circuits.
- Lead the end-to-end development cycle for renewable energy grid-tie inverters.
- Conduct detailed simulations using MATLAB, Simulink, or PSpice to ensure system reliability.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to oversee prototyping and transition to mass production.
- Perform root-cause analysis on electrical system failures and implement long-term corrective solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on design standards and compliance.
- Ensure all designs meet NEC, IEEE, and other relevant industry safety and performance standards.
Qualifications
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering (M.S. or Ph.D. preferred).
- Minimum of 6+ years of professional experience in power electronics or grid systems.
- Advanced proficiency in CAD software (Altium Designer, AutoCAD Electrical).
- Deep understanding of electromagnetic interference (EMI) and power quality optimization.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly desirable.
- Proven track record of project management in hardware engineering environments.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
