Responsibilities
- Design and validate complex power distribution systems for large-scale renewable energy installations.
- Lead electrical schematic design, simulation, and documentation using AutoCAD and ETAP.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet NEC, IEEE, and local building code compliance.
- Perform root cause analysis on electrical system malfunctions and implement preventative maintenance protocols.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and review design deliverables for quality and safety.
- Manage vendor relations and procurement of critical electrical components.
- Optimize system efficiency through load flow studies, short circuit analysis, and harmonics analysis.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE/MSEE).
- Minimum of 6+ years of professional experience in industrial power system design.
- Professional Engineer (PE) License strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP, SKM, or similar design/modeling software.
- Deep understanding of NEC, NFPA 70E, and IEC standards.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with a focus on project delivery.
