You will lead multi-disciplinary teams through the full project lifecycle—from initial conceptualization and feasibility studies to final commissioning of large-scale industrial and renewable energy facilities. Responsibilities
- Lead the design and engineering of complex low-to-high voltage power distribution systems, ensuring maximum efficiency and reliability.
- Execute comprehensive system studies including load flow, short-circuit analysis, and arc flash evaluations using ETAP or SKM software.
- Manage end-to-end project technical deliverables, ensuring compliance with NEC, IEEE, and local utility standards.
- Mentor junior engineering staff, providing technical oversight and fostering a culture of continuous professional growth.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and vendors to specify and procure critical electrical equipment such as transformers, switchgear, and VFDs.
- Oversee on-site commissioning and startup activities, troubleshooting complex electrical anomalies in real-time.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from an ABET-accredited institution.
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license, preferably in the State of Texas or NCEES record.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in industrial power system design or renewable energy.
- Expert-level proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical and ETAP/SKM modeling software.
- Deep understanding of National Electrical Code (NEC) and NFPA 70E safety standards.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical clients.
- Proven track record of managing project budgets exceeding $5M in electrical scope.
