Responsibilities

  • Lead Design & Architecture: Oversee the conceptual design and detailed engineering of electrical power systems, including generation, transmission, and distribution networks.
  • Project Management: Manage project lifecycles from initial client consultation and site surveys through to final commissioning and handover.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure all designs strictly adhere to national and international codes, including NFPA 70E, NEC, and IEEE standards.
  • Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior engineers and designers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
  • Technical Analysis: Conduct load flow studies, short-circuit analyses, and arc flash hazard assessments to optimize system reliability.
  • Vendor Coordination: Select and manage vendors for equipment procurement, ensuring quality control and timely delivery.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE/MSEE) required. A Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is highly preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in electrical power systems engineering, preferably in the utility or industrial sectors.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in industry-standard design software such as AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP, SKM PowerTools, or Siemens PSS/E.
