Responsibilities
- Design, analyze, and optimize complex power distribution systems for commercial and industrial clients.
- Conduct detailed load flow studies, short circuit analysis, and coordination studies to ensure system reliability.
- Lead the end-to-end development of electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, and panel layouts using AutoCAD Electrical and EPLAN.
- Mentor junior engineers and technicians, providing technical guidance and conducting code reviews.
- Ensure all designs comply with local, state, and national electrical codes (NEC, NFPA 70E) and safety standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot operational issues and implement corrective solutions.
- Prepare technical proposals, cost estimates, and project specifications for client presentations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in power systems engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) License is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN) and simulation tools (MATLAB/Simulink, ETAP).
- Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for technical documentation and client interaction.
