Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design of complex electrical power systems, including generation, transmission, and distribution.
- Conduct detailed load flow analysis, short-circuit studies, and coordination studies to ensure system reliability.
- Prepare and review high-level electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and technical specifications using AutoCAD Electrical and ETAP.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, software, project management) to ensure seamless integration of systems.
- Ensure all engineering designs strictly adhere to NEC, IEEE, and local code standards.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and interns.
- Manage project milestones, budgets, and resource allocation effectively.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs or Masterâs degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent technical discipline).
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in electrical power system design.
- Proficient in industry-standard tools such as AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or ETAP.
- Strong working knowledge of power electronics, circuit theory, and control systems.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and safety compliance.
- PE (Professional Engineer) license is highly preferred.
