Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design lifecycle from concept to production using SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Perform FEA/CFD analysis to optimize structural integrity and thermal performance
- Develop prototypes and conduct rigorous testing/validation in our advanced R&D lab
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical systems with avionics and software
- Design cost-effective manufacturing processes and supply chain solutions
- Drive continuous improvement through DFX methodologies (DFM, DFA, DFV)
- Mentor junior engineers and document technical specifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred) with 5+ years aerospace/defense experience
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks, ANSYS, and GD&T principles
- Proven track record in composite material design and stress analysis
- Familiarity with FAA/EASA certification requirements
- Strong knowledge of CNC machining and additive manufacturing processes
- Experience with PLM systems (Teamcenter, Windchill)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and project management abilities
