Responsibilities
- Design and manage complex electrical power distribution systems, including switchgear, transformers, and emergency power supply systems (EPSS).
- Conduct arc flash studies, short circuit analysis, and coordination studies using ETAP or SKM software.
- Oversee the installation and commissioning process to ensure compliance with NEC, IEEE, and local building codes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate renewable energy sources and battery storage systems into existing grid infrastructure.
- Perform on-site inspections, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for electrical system failures.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on design standards and project lifecycle management.
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports, CAD drawings, and specifications for stakeholder approval.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from an accredited university.
- Professional Engineer (PE) License required.
- Minimum of 6+ years of experience in electrical system design, preferably in industrial or utility sectors.
- Expertise in AutoCAD, Revit, and power system modeling software (ETAP, SKM, or EasyPower).
- In-depth knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, and relevant OSHA safety regulations.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a track record of delivering high-stakes projects on schedule.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client-facing presentations and internal reporting.
