Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design and development of complex power systems and electrical schematics.
- Perform advanced load flow analysis and short-circuit studies for large-scale grid connections.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of battery storage and solar arrays.
- Provide expert technical oversight during the construction and commissioning phases of energy projects.
- Ensure strict compliance with NEC, IEEE, and local utility regulatory standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
- Optimize system efficiency through rigorous data-driven modeling and simulation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE); Master’s preferred.
- Current PE license in the State of California or ability to obtain via reciprocity.
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in utility-scale power systems design.
- Advanced proficiency in ETAP, SKM PowerTools, or similar electrical analysis software.
- Deep understanding of HV/MV switchgear and transformer specifications.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and a track record of meeting aggressive project deadlines.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
