Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test complex electrical power distribution systems for utility-scale applications.
- Perform detailed load analysis, short-circuit studies, and arc-flash assessments using ETAP or SKM.
- Lead technical reviews and ensure all designs comply with NEC, IEEE, and ANSI standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct rigorous design-for-manufacturability reviews.
- Coordinate with procurement and project management teams to ensure timely delivery of high-value equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex system failures during commissioning and field deployment phases.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE); Master’s degree preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) License in California or eligibility to obtain within 12 months.
- Minimum 7+ years of professional experience in power systems design or industrial electrical engineering.
- Expert proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks, or similar schematic capture software.
- Deep understanding of high-voltage power transmission and protective relaying.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale infrastructure projects from conception to completion.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
