Responsibilities
- Lead the full lifecycle design of complex electrical power distribution systems.
- Perform advanced load flow, short-circuit, and arc-flash analysis using ETAP or SKM.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate hardware into high-voltage environments.
- Ensure all designs comply with NEC, IEEE, and NFPA safety standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct rigorous technical design reviews.
- Develop detailed technical specifications, project budgets, and procurement documentation.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee on-site commissioning and testing protocols.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) required; Master’s preferred.
- Current Professional Engineer (PE) license in California.
- 7+ years of professional experience in industrial or utility-scale power systems.
- Expertise in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit) and electrical simulation tools.
- Strong understanding of switchgear, transformers, and protection relaying.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex electrical failures under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical data to stakeholders.
