Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of complex electrical power distribution systems for large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Perform comprehensive load calculations, short-circuit analysis, and protective device coordination studies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to NEC, IEEE, and ANSI standards.
- Oversee electrical equipment procurement, including transformers, switchgear, and motor control centers.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and review design documentation for quality assurance.
- Manage project lifecycles from conceptual design through to field commissioning and final sign-off.
- Act as a primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders regarding electrical engineering specifications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from an ABET-accredited institution.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in power systems design or industrial electrical engineering.
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in California is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software such as ETAP, SKM PowerTools, AutoCAD, or Revit.
- Deep understanding of low and medium voltage distribution systems.
- Proven track record of managing project budgets, timelines, and multi-disciplinary teams.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with a focus on efficiency and grid reliability.
