Responsibilities
- Design and oversee the implementation of complex power distribution systems and grid-tied architectures.
- Conduct advanced technical analysis, including load flow, short circuit, and protection coordination studies using ETAP or SKM.
- Lead engineering design reviews to ensure compliance with NEC, IEEE, and ANSI standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to define scope, budget, and project timelines.
- Develop detailed technical specifications and procurement documents for electrical equipment.
- Perform on-site inspections and testing to validate system performance and safety.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE); Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly preferred.
- 7+ years of professional experience in power systems design or industrial electrical engineering.
- Deep proficiency in power system analysis software (ETAP, SKM, or similar).
- Comprehensive knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) and NFPA 70E requirements.
- Experience with high-voltage and medium-voltage substation design is essential.
- Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage complex stakeholder expectations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
