Responsibilities
- Design and validate high-voltage power distribution architectures for industrial-scale projects.
- Utilize advanced simulation software (ETAP, PSCAD, or MATLAB) to model system performance and safety margins.
- Collaborate with cross-functional mechanical and software teams to ensure seamless hardware integration.
- Oversee technical documentation, including schematics, bill of materials, and compliance reports.
- Conduct on-site testing, troubleshooting, and field commissioning to ensure optimal system operation.
- Mentor junior engineers and implement design best practices across the department.
- Ensure all electrical designs adhere to NEC, IEEE, and local safety standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE/MSEE).
- 5+ years of professional experience in power systems, substation design, or grid infrastructure.
- Expertise in industry-standard software suites such as AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP, or SolidWorks Electrical.
- Comprehensive knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) and safety regulations.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex electrical hardware failures in a high-pressure environment.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical mindset and excellent written communication skills for technical reporting.
