Responsibilities
- Design and oversee complex electrical distribution systems for utility-scale projects.
- Conduct load flow analysis, short-circuit studies, and protection coordination using ETAP or SKM.
- Prepare comprehensive technical specifications, schematics, and single-line diagrams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with NEC, NESC, and IEEE standards.
- Mentor junior engineering staff and conduct rigorous design reviews to ensure quality.
- Manage project lifecycles from conceptual design through to field commissioning.
- Drive continuous improvement in design processes and power efficiency initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from an ABET-accredited institution.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in power systems engineering or industrial electrical design.
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and electrical modeling software (ETAP, SKM, or EasyPower).
- In-depth knowledge of NEC, IEEE, and ANSI electrical codes.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on system reliability and safety.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to lead technical client presentations.
