Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of large-scale electrical power systems for industrial and renewable energy facilities.
- Perform detailed load flow analysis, short circuit, and coordination studies using ETAP or SKM.
- Prepare comprehensive technical specifications, equipment data sheets, and procurement support documentation.
- Oversee on-site commissioning and performance testing to ensure compliance with NEC, IEEE, and NFPA standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with cross-functional project management teams.
- Review contractor submittals and provide technical guidance during the construction phase.
- Optimize system efficiency through rigorous hardware selection and energy management strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) required; MSEE preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) License active in the state of California.
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in power systems design or related industrial electrical engineering.
- Expertise in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit) and power simulation platforms.
- Deep understanding of high-voltage distribution, switchgear, and protection relaying.
- Proven ability to manage multi-million dollar projects from concept to completion.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interface effectively with stakeholders and clients.
