Responsibilities
- Design and oversee complex electrical power distribution systems for commercial and utility-scale projects.
- Perform detailed load calculations, fault current analysis, and protective relay coordination studies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate renewable energy sources into existing utility grids.
- Ensure compliance with NEC, IEEE, and local building codes throughout all phases of design and implementation.
- Develop detailed schematic designs, single-line diagrams, and equipment specifications using AutoCAD and ETAP.
- Mentor junior engineers and lead technical design reviews to maintain engineering excellence.
- Support on-site commissioning and troubleshooting for high-voltage power installations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
- Minimum of 6+ years of professional experience in electrical power systems design.
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in power system modeling software such as ETAP, SKM, or EasyPower.
- Deep understanding of low, medium, and high-voltage electrical design principles.
- Proven experience with sustainable energy integration, including solar PV and battery storage systems.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
