Responsibilities
- Design, simulate, and validate high-voltage power distribution systems for industrial-grade hardware.
- Conduct thorough PCB layout reviews and thermal analysis to ensure operational reliability.
- Collaborate with mechanical and firmware teams to integrate electrical subsystems seamlessly.
- Perform root-cause analysis on prototype failures and implement robust design improvements.
- Oversee electrical compliance testing according to UL, IEEE, and NEC standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in design for manufacturing (DFM).
- Manage vendor relationships for critical electrical components and hardware sub-assemblies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in power systems design or industrial electrical engineering.
- Proficiency with EDA tools such as Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, or OrCAD.
- Strong grasp of power electronics, circuit simulation (SPICE), and embedded systems.
- Experience with high-voltage design (AC/DC) and EMI/EMC mitigation strategies.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly desirable but not required.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex electrical systems in a hands-on lab environment.
