Responsibilities
- Design and model complex electrical power distribution systems for large-scale utility and industrial projects.
- Conduct load flow analysis, short circuit analysis, and protective device coordination studies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional mechanical and software teams to ensure seamless hardware integration.
- Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including schematics, bills of materials, and project specifications.
- Oversee on-site testing and commissioning to ensure adherence to safety standards and performance metrics.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior engineering staff and foster a culture of innovation.
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure all procured components meet quality and budget requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- 5+ years of professional experience in electrical power systems design.
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software such as ETAP, SKM PowerTools, or AutoCAD Electrical.
- Deep understanding of NEC, IEEE, and ANSI standards.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex electrical failures and propose scalable solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder management.
