Responsibilities
- System Design & Architecture: Lead the end-to-end design of high-voltage power distribution systems and control logic for industrial and commercial facilities.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all engineering designs strictly adhere to national and local electrical codes (NEC, NFPA 70E) and OSHA safety standards.
- Project Management: Oversee project lifecycles from conceptual design through commissioning, managing timelines and budgets effectively.
- Technical Analysis: Perform complex load calculations, short-circuit studies, and arc-flash hazard analysis to ensure system reliability.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with mechanical engineers, software developers, and project managers to integrate electrical systems into broader project scopes.
- Mentorship: Guide junior engineers and interns, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning within the team.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in electrical design, preferably within the technology or construction sectors.
- Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly preferred.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in CAD (AutoCAD), EPLAN, or ETAP for schematic and layout design.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of power electronics, PLCs, and industrial automation systems.
- Problem Solving: Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues under pressure.
