Responsibilities
- Design and analyze complex power distribution systems including schematics, single-line diagrams, and load flow studies.
- Oversee the integration of renewable energy sources and battery storage solutions into existing grid architecture.
- Lead cross-functional engineering teams through the full project lifecycle from conceptual design to commissioning.
- Ensure all electrical designs adhere to NEC, IEEE, and ANSI standards and regional safety regulations.
- Perform detailed power system modeling, fault analysis, and protection coordination studies using SKM or ETAP.
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct technical reviews to ensure design excellence and operational integrity.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and utility stakeholders to resolve site-specific technical challenges.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in California is strongly preferred.
- Minimum 7+ years of professional experience in industrial power systems, grid infrastructure, or MEP engineering.
- Deep expertise in ETAP, SKM, or AutoCAD Electrical software suites.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale infrastructure projects with strict timelines.
- Strong understanding of protective relaying, grounding systems, and medium-voltage equipment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical requirements for non-technical stakeholders.
