Responsibilities
- Design and validate complex electrical power distribution systems for utility-scale energy projects.
- Conduct thorough load flow analysis, short-circuit studies, and arc-flash assessments.
- Coordinate with cross-functional mechanical and software teams to ensure seamless system integration.
- Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including SLDs, schematics, and equipment specifications.
- Oversee installation and commissioning phases to ensure strict adherence to NEC and IEEE standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and lead technical design reviews.
- Collaborate with regulatory bodies to obtain necessary environmental and electrical compliance permits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) required; Master’s preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly desirable.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in power systems, substation design, or renewable energy infrastructure.
- Expertise in industry-standard software such as ETAP, SKM PowerTools, or AutoCAD Electrical.
- In-depth knowledge of NEC, IEEE, NESC, and NFPA 70E codes.
- Strong analytical mindset with a proven track record of troubleshooting complex electrical grid issues.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining technical constraints to non-technical stakeholders.
