Responsibilities
- Design and develop high-voltage electrical power systems, including transmission, distribution, and generation.
- Conduct detailed engineering analyses such as load flow, short circuit, and stability studies using industry-standard software (ETAP, PSCAD).
- Prepare detailed technical documentation, including single-line diagrams, specifications, and design calculations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, software, and project management, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Ensure all designs comply with local, state, and national electrical codes (NEC, IEEE, UL).
- Lead site inspections and oversee the commissioning phase of electrical infrastructure.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to the engineering team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or Master’s degree in a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in electrical power system design.
- Proficiency in simulation tools like ETAP, PSCAD, or MATLAB/Simulink.
- Strong knowledge of circuit analysis, power electronics, and control systems.
- PE (Professional Engineer) license is a strong plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
