Responsibilities
- Design and document electrical power distribution systems for large-scale renewable energy projects.
- Conduct short-circuit, arc flash, and coordination studies using ETAP or SKM software.
- Oversee the preparation of detailed electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, and equipment specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate battery storage and grid-tied systems.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and review design deliverables for quality assurance.
- Coordinate with local utility providers and regulatory bodies to ensure full code compliance.
- Perform on-site troubleshooting and commissioning support for high-voltage assets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent required.
- Professional Engineer (PE) License in Texas is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 6+ years of experience in power systems design or industrial electrical engineering.
- Deep proficiency in NEC, IEEE, and ANSI standards.
- Advanced experience with CAD software (AutoCAD or Revit) and power analysis software (ETAP, SKM).
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills with an ability to manage multiple project lifecycles.
- Proven ability to communicate technical requirements to non-technical stakeholders.
