Responsibilities
- Design and oversee the implementation of medium-to-high voltage power distribution systems.
- Perform comprehensive power system studies, including load flow, short circuit, and arc flash analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate renewable energy sources into existing utility grids.
- Develop detailed technical specifications, wiring diagrams, and procurement packages for electrical hardware.
- Conduct site visits to perform quality assurance inspections and provide technical troubleshooting support.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in design safety and regulatory compliance.
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure all electrical components meet project timelines and budget requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from an accredited university.
- Current PE license in the state of California is strongly preferred.
- 5+ years of professional experience in power systems, utility, or industrial electrical design.
- Expertise with industry-standard software such as ETAP, SKM PowerTools, or AutoCAD Electrical.
- Comprehensive knowledge of NEC, IEEE, and NESC standards and building codes.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced engineering consultancy environment.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.
