Responsibilities
- Design and validate complex electrical power distribution systems for utility-scale applications.
- Perform advanced load flow, short circuit, and coordination studies using ETAP or SKM.
- Lead cross-functional design reviews to ensure compliance with NEC, NESC, and IEEE standards.
- Mentor junior engineers while providing technical oversight for project lifecycles.
- Collaborate with procurement and project management teams to optimize vendor selection and component lifecycle.
- Draft detailed technical specifications, project scopes, and engineering reports.
- Troubleshoot and resolve critical grid integration issues in live operational environments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent; PE license preferred.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in power systems design or industrial electrical engineering.
- Expertise in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit) and power modeling tools (ETAP, SKM, or similar).
- Comprehensive knowledge of California Title 24, NEC, and NFPA standards.
- Proven ability to manage multiple high-stakes projects simultaneously under strict deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a high degree of technical aptitude in PLC integration.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for high-level stakeholder reporting.
