Responsibilities
- Design and develop complex electrical schematics, control systems, and power distribution layouts using industry-standard software.
- Conduct detailed load calculations, short-circuit studies, and arc-flash hazard analyses to ensure system reliability and safety.
- Lead cross-functional project teams, coordinating with mechanical, software, and project management stakeholders.
- Oversee the procurement, installation, and commissioning of electrical equipment and systems.
- Ensure strict adherence to local, state, and national electrical codes (NEC, IEEE) and safety regulations.
- Perform root cause analysis on system failures and implement preventative maintenance strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in electrical design, preferably within the utility or industrial sector.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, ETAP, MATLAB, or PSpice.
- Strong working knowledge of PLC programming and SCADA systems.
- Proven ability to manage projects from concept through to final commissioning.
- PE (Professional Engineer) license is a significant plus.
