Responsibilities
- Lead the design and analysis of complex electrical power distribution systems using ETAP and SKM software.
- Execute comprehensive load flow, short circuit, and arc flash hazard analysis to ensure system reliability and safety.
- Manage end-to-end project lifecycles, ensuring technical specifications meet rigorous industry standards and client requirements.
- Mentor junior engineering staff, providing technical oversight and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- Collaborate with utility providers and regulatory bodies to secure necessary permits and grid connection agreements.
- Review and approve technical drawings, including one-lines, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Oversee on-site commissioning and performance testing of critical electrical infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from an ABET-accredited institution.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in electrical power systems design.
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Texas (or ability to obtain via comity).
- Expert-level proficiency with AutoCAD and power system simulation software (ETAP, SKM, or EasyPower).
- In-depth knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC), IEEE, and NFPA 70E standards.
- Proven track record of managing multi-million dollar engineering projects on time and under budget.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical data for non-technical stakeholders.
