Responsibilities
- Design and develop high-voltage power distribution systems for utility-scale energy projects.
- Perform comprehensive load analysis, short-circuit studies, and arc flash assessments.
- Lead technical reviews and ensure all designs comply with NEC, IEEE, and local regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with mechanical and civil engineering teams to integrate electrical infrastructure effectively.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical oversight for project lifecycles from concept to commissioning.
- Manage relationships with key vendors and contractors to ensure project quality and delivery timelines.
- Conduct site inspections and troubleshoot complex electrical malfunctions in existing systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 6+ years of experience in power systems design or industrial electrical engineering.
- Current PE (Professional Engineer) license in the state of California is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with ETAP, SKM PowerTools, or AutoCAD Electrical.
- Deep understanding of electrical codes, grid interconnection standards, and renewable energy integration.
- Proven ability to manage multiple high-stakes projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical mindset with a passion for sustainable energy technologies.
