We are currently seeking a visionary Senior Electrical Engineer to join our elite R&D team in San Francisco. In this pivotal role, you will architect the next generation of power management systems and embedded controllers that power our global ecosystem.
As a key technical leader, you will bridge the gap between theoretical design and high-volume manufacturing, ensuring our hardware not only meets rigorous standards but also sets new benchmarks in efficiency and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Lead Circuit Architecture: Spearhead the conceptualization and detailed design of complex analog and digital circuits for high-performance embedded systems.
- PCB Design & Layout: Utilize industry-standard EDA tools (Altium/Cadence) to design, simulate, and review multi-layer PCB schematics and layouts.
- System Validation: Develop comprehensive test plans and validation strategies to ensure product compliance with safety standards (UL, CE) and performance metrics.
- Prototyping & Debugging: Oversee the prototype fabrication process and lead the debugging of hardware issues in the lab and field environments.
- Mentorship: Guide junior engineers and interns, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning within the engineering department.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including datasheets, schematics, BOMs, and design for manufacturing (DFM) reports.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 7+ years of experience in electrical hardware design, specifically within the embedded systems or consumer electronics sector.
- Technical Proficiency: Deep expertise in circuit analysis, power electronics, and microcontroller interfacing (ARM, PIC, or AVR).
- Tools: Proficient in using SPICE simulation tools (LTSpice, PSpice) and PCB design software (Altium Designer, OrCAD, or Eagle).
- Communication: Exceptional ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear documentation and presentations for cross-functional teams.
- Problem Solving: Proven track record of troubleshooting hardware failures and delivering solutions under tight deadlines.
