Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects using CAD/CAE tools (SolidWorks, ANSYS)
- Develop and validate engineering solutions through prototyping, testing, and FMEA analysis
- Optimize designs for manufacturability, weight reduction, and performance targets
- Mentor junior engineers and review technical documentation
- Interface with suppliers to ensure component quality and supply chain resilience
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in design methodologies and tools
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design for aerospace/automotive
- Expert proficiency in 3D modeling and simulation tools
- Strong understanding of GD&T, DFMA, and industry standards (ASME, ISO)
- Proven track record of delivering complex mechanical systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills and technical documentation abilities
- Active PE license or willingness to obtain
