Responsibilities
- Lead Power System Design: Spearhead the conceptualization, design, and development of high-voltage and low-voltage electrical power distribution systems for commercial and industrial projects.
- Feasibility Analysis: Conduct rigorous power load calculations and feasibility studies to ensure project viability and safety compliance.
- CAD & Modeling: Utilize advanced CAD software (AutoCAD, EPLAN, or SolidWorks) to create detailed electrical schematics, panel layouts, and wiring diagrams.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs strictly adhere to national and local electrical codes (NEC, NFPA), safety standards, and environmental regulations.
- Project Leadership: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical and software engineers, to integrate electrical systems seamlessly into broader product designs.
- Mentorship: Guide junior engineers and interns, providing technical mentorship and fostering a collaborative, high-performance engineering culture.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) from an accredited institution.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-8 years of professional experience in electrical design, preferably within the renewable energy, power generation, or industrial automation sectors.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN Electric P8, or equivalent CAD tools.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues and optimize system efficiency.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting complex technical data to non-technical stakeholders and clients.
- Certifications: PMP, PE (Professional Engineer) license, or Six Sigma Green Belt is a plus.
