Responsibilities
- Lead design and development of medium-voltage power distribution systems for commercial and industrial applications
- Perform detailed electrical load calculations and power quality analysis using ETAP and SKM Power Tools
- Develop comprehensive schematics, wiring diagrams, and BOMs for electrical control systems
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers to ensure seamless integration of electromechanical components
- Conduct field testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of complex electrical installations
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct technical reviews to ensure design compliance with IEEE/NFPA standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in power systems design and industrial electrical engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas
- Expertise in AutoCAD, ETAP, and SKM Power Tools
- Strong knowledge of NEC, IEEE 1547, and NFPA 70E standards
- Experience with renewable energy integration and smart grid technologies
- Proven ability to manage projects from concept through implementation
