Responsibilities
- Design and develop complex electrical systems for aerospace applications, including power distribution, avionics, and control systems
- Perform schematic capture, PCB layout, and simulation using industry-standard tools (Altium, Cadence)
- Conduct rigorous testing and validation of electrical components and systems under extreme environmental conditions
- Lead root cause analysis for electrical failures and implement robust mitigation strategies
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct technical reviews to ensure design integrity
- Collaborate with mechanical and software teams to ensure seamless system integration
- Prepare comprehensive documentation including test reports, compliance certificates, and technical specifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in aerospace or high-reliability electrical systems
- Expertise in high-speed digital design, power electronics, and EMI/EMC mitigation
- Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink, SPICE, and real-time operating systems
- Familiarity with DO-160, DO-254, and FAA certification processes
- Demonstrated project leadership experience from prototype to production
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to troubleshoot complex systems
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification
