Responsibilities
- Design and validate PCB layouts for high-reliability aerospace power systems using Altium Designer
- Lead electrical architecture development for 28V DC and 115V AC power distribution networks
- Conduct EMI/EMC compliance testing and mitigation strategies for FAA certification
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews for safety-critical components
- Collaborate with mechanical teams on thermal management solutions for power electronics
- Develop test procedures and troubleshoot complex electrical system failures
- Interface with suppliers to source custom components and manage vendor relationships
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in aerospace or high-reliability electrical systems
- Expertise in power electronics design (buck/boost converters, motor drives)
- Proficiency with SPICE simulation tools and MATLAB/Simulink modeling
- FAA DO-160 certification testing experience
- Strong knowledge of IPC-2221 PCB design standards
- Experience with CAN bus, MIL-STD-1553, and ARINC 429 protocols
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license
