Responsibilities
- Design and document comprehensive electrical power distribution systems for complex industrial projects.
- Perform detailed load flow, short-circuit, and arc flash analysis using industry-standard software like ETAP or SKM.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, civil, and software engineers, to ensure project synergy.
- Review and stamp design packages for compliance with NEC, IEEE, and ANSI standards.
- Oversee on-site testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical infrastructure.
- Mentor junior engineers and lead design reviews to ensure adherence to best practices.
- Manage technical documentation and project timelines from conceptualization to final delivery.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from an ABET-accredited program.
- Current Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas or the ability to obtain via reciprocity.
- Minimum of 6+ years of experience in power systems design or industrial electrical engineering.
- Expertise in CAD software, including AutoCAD and Revit MEP.
- Deep understanding of medium and high-voltage power distribution systems.
- Proven ability to interpret and apply electrical codes (NEC, NESC) and standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail in technical drafting and reporting.
