Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical systems for aerospace applications, including power distribution, avionics, and control systems
- Lead PCB layout, schematic capture, and validation testing for high-reliability hardware
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical solutions with mechanical and software components
- Conduct failure mode analysis (FMEA) and ensure compliance with FAA/EASA regulations
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in design methodologies
- Research emerging technologies (e.g., GaN semiconductors, electric propulsion) for next-gen platforms
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in aerospace or high-reliability electrical design
- Expertise in Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, and MATLAB/Simulink
- Strong understanding of DO-254 and DO-160 certification standards
- Proven track record in power electronics design (switch-mode, motor drives)
- Experience with EMI/EMC testing and mitigation strategies
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
