Responsibilities
- Design and validate electrical systems for utility-scale renewable energy projects
- Develop power electronics solutions including inverters and battery management systems
- Conduct electromagnetic interference (EMI) mitigation and compliance testing
- Create detailed schematics and PCB layouts using Altium Designer
- Lead root cause analysis for field failures and implement corrective actions
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct technical design reviews
- Collaborate with vendors on component selection and qualification
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in power electronics or energy systems
- Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink for system modeling and simulation
- Strong knowledge of IEEE 1547, UL 1741, and NEC standards
- Experience with high-voltage (>1kV) DC-DC converters
- Proven ability to manage projects from concept to commissioning
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or eligibility
- Experience with PV system design and battery energy storage systems (BESS)
