Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test electrical systems and components for large-scale utility projects.
- Perform detailed load flow analysis, short-circuit studies, and arc flash analysis using ETAP or SKM.
- Prepare technical specifications, bills of materials, and comprehensive project documentation.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical oversight for design reviews and site inspections.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure designs meet all NEC, IEEE, and local safety standards.
- Lead root-cause analysis for system failures and implement preventative engineering solutions.
- Oversee electrical equipment procurement and vendor relationships to ensure quality and budget adherence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- PE (Professional Engineer) license preferred.
- 7+ years of professional experience in power systems design or industrial electrical engineering.
- Expert proficiency in AutoCAD and electrical modeling software (ETAP, SKM, or similar).
- Deep understanding of NEC, NESC, and NFPA 70E requirements.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong project management skills with a proven track record of meeting strict delivery timelines.
